Q.1 Evaluate the nature and scope of higher education. How higher education is linked with development of a society?

Introduction

Higher education is a critical part of any society’s development. It allows individuals to pursue knowledge and skillsets that they otherwise may not be able to, and it provides opportunities for social and economic mobility. There are a number of ways in which higher education is linked with development. For one,higher education leads to an increase in human capital, which can then be used to drive economic growth. In addition, higher education can also help to create more tolerant and open societies, as well as improve health outcomes. However, it is important to note that not all societies place the same importance on higher education. In some cases, lower levels of educational attainment may be more beneficial for economic development. Similarly, some societies may prioritize other aspects of development over education. Nonetheless, it is clear that higher education plays a vital role in the development of any society.

What is higher education?

There are many different types of higher education institutions, including traditional universities, liberal arts colleges, community colleges, and for-profit colleges. Higher education is generally divided into two categories: undergraduate education and graduate education.

We will also look at the advantages and disadvantages of each mode so that you can make an informed decision about your own educational journey.

There are different modes of universities which are as follow:

a) Traditional Universities: In traditional universities, students attend classes in person and most of the learning takes place in a face-to-face setting. This is the most common type of university and is what most people think of when they think of college.
